GSL Pro Middle East – GSL Professional has yet another successful event at CABSAT 2017,DWTC, 30th March 2017, Dubai, UAE.
Our participation in CABSAT this year, between the 21-23 March, was a huge success story for us. CABSAT has built a reputation, over the last 2 decades, as the premier networking event/exhibition in the Middle East, with brand representations from across the Broadcast, Satellite and Content segment of the industry.
At GSL Pro Middle East, we took the stage to announce that we have now been awarded the STUDER distributorship in UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Iraq as opposed to our previous status of being the STUDER reseller limited to the UAE.
Mark Hosking, Global Broadcast Sales Lead, Harman Professional, Graham Murray, Broadcast Sales, EMEA and Manuel Mercadal, Application & Product Sales Specialist, EMEA, were present at our stand to extend support and also answer any questions which the clients may have had either in terms of the newly awarded distributorship or the latest in technology from STUDER.
We saw a large traffic of guests throughout the event, which spanned three days.
“CABSAT, this year was very successful for us, especially with the new announcements about the STUDER distributorship and also the new brands which we have partnered with such as DirectOut and Yellowtec. We have several projects in the pipeline, are in conversation with RTS and other brands too. Everyone’s very interested especially in the technology which STUDER is bringing to the table and the new product launches such as the Glacier and micro series. As for our announcement about STUDER, it was well received by the system integrators and we had some very successful meetings which kept us busy this year. It’s gone really well for us so far,” said Ibrahim Shishani, Business Development Manager- Broadcast, GSL Professional.
When asked about what he thought the future held for the Broadcast division of GSL Professional, he said that the new distributorship would obviously present challenges as part of the teething process but that we are prepared to face them. “We have a new team and have expertise and are confident about winning the projects”, he added.
“The show’s been very successful this year, particularly the first and second day saw us extremely busy. For STUDER its been great because we were able to see all our key customers in this region some of whom we hadn’t seen in a long time”, said Manuel Mercadal, Application & Product Sales Specialist, EMEA, Harman Professional.
“ As for the products, the latest developments like the radio consoles – Micro and Glacier were displayed for the first time in the GCC at CABSAT. They were launched at IBC in September 2016. These products have garnered a lot of interest. During the show we’ve had some very good proposals for projects in the region and overall its been a very successful show”, he added.
