how-to-hold-a-micpngMicrophones with cardioid or hypercardioid polar pattern are the most frequently used mics on stage. It is very important to hold the microphone correctly. Be sure not to cover the sound inlet basket with your hand, as this will have an unfavorable effect on the polar pattern while increasing feedback risk quite considerably as well.
