Soundcraft Si Expression – How to create, save and recall shows

A Show is an entire console setup including Cuelist and associated Snapshots. Shows can be saved, loaded, and created in the EDIT SHOW Touch Screen Menu.

Soundcraft Si Expression

Follow these simple steps:

CREATE A NEW SHOW

1. Press SHOW on the Touch Screen in the Main Menu window.

2. Press NEW SHOW on the Touch Screen in the Show Menu.

Note – A warning will appear on the screen, Press YES if you wish to continue and destroy the existing show. It is best to backup current show unto the device memory or USB stick. Details below.

3. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob, choose Show Name and Press to rename.

4. Use the On-Screen QWERTY Keyboard layout to type a desired name.

5. Press the APPLY button beside the Touch Screen to apply changes.


SAVE SNAPSHOTS AND VIEW CUELISTS

Within the show, the STORE button is used to save Snapshots, which are the settings made at intervals.

1. Press the STORE button to save the current settings at any point.

2. Press the CUE LIST button to view saved Snapshots on the Touch Screen.

3. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob to select a Snapshot and Press to recall the settings.

Note – In the Cue List view, Press EDIT CUE on the Touch Screen and use the SCROLL/ADJUST to Select Cue Name and change to a desired name and Press the APPLY button to apply changes.

Note – Always rename your Snapshots for easy identification.

 

ALTERNATIVE WAY TO RECALL SNAPSHOTS

1. Press the RECALL button and the selected Snapshot settings in the Cue List will load.

2. Press the NEXT button to recall Snapshots in the Cue List moving downward or forward.

3. Hold ALT+NEXT to recall Snapshots settings in the Cue List moving upward or backward.

 

SAVE SHOW TO THE DEVICE MEMORY OR USB

1. Press SHOW on the Touch Screen in the Main Menu window.

2. Press SAVE AS on the Touch Screen in the Show Menu.

3. Use the On-Screen QWERTY keyboard layout to rename or leave as, if it already has the desired name.

4. Press the APPLY button to access the memory drive.

5. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob to Choose memory drive and Press to Select.

Note – On the Screen will display the memory drives, MMC for the device memory or USB if a USB is inserted.

6. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob to choose a folder in the drive or root.

7. (Optional) Press NEW FOLDER on the Touch Screen to create a New Folder.

8. Press OK on the Touch Screen to save unto the root drive or folder.

 

LOAD SHOW FROM THE DEVICE MEMORY OR USB

1. Press SHOW on the Touch Screen in the Main Menu window.

2. Press LOAD on the Touch Screen in the Show Menu.

3. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob to Choose memory drive (MMC or USB) and Press to Select.

4. Use the SCROLL/ADJUST knob search for the Show in the root or inside a folder. Note – Only Si Series compatible files with the extension .SSH will display.

5. Press OK on the Touch Screen to load the Import the show to the device.

Note – A warning will appear on the screen, Press YES if you wish to continue and overwrite all cues and recall filter settings from the current show.
