ManchesterUniversity – UK

The university required a high-quality audio-conferencing solution for their monthly University Board Member meetings of up to 40 members, which take place at many locations in old listed buildings that are not designed for audio conferences. They needed a solution to provide high quality audio in the room but also transmit the sound to members who would attend video conference. ATUC-50 was the ideal choice due to its high audio quality, ease of use, affordability and expandability

Tallmage City Council Chamber - USA

The council needed a new conference system for the Town Hall to replace an old system. The new system had to have high sound quality, be very easy to use and be almost invisible.

The Audio TechniAUTC-50 system was selected due to it being plug and play, and able to deliver a reliable clear uncompressed audio. The web remote control was used to setup and control the system. Integration units were used so only the microphone was visible on the desks.

RTV Montenegro– Montenegro

RTV Montenegro debuted its new Calrec-equipped HD OB 6 in February to broadcast Show Montevizija, a national singing competition to select its entrant to the popular Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

Dejan Vujovi the CTO noted “Hydra 2 was one of the key advantages that we saw with Calrec. We have a stage box in HD OB 6, with internal audio sources plugged into that. Hydra 2 is used for all routing, including the audio that passes through two additional external stage boxes. They are connected via fiber and instantly appear on the network, completely transparently., making life for ouraudio engineers much easier.”

L’Equipe Sports TV – France

Alexis Bougault, Audio Technical Manager at systems’ integrator EuroMedia who oversaw the design and implementation of the project, said L’Equipe is continually growing so it was important to install a console that is modular and therefore easily expandable.

The control rooms, commentary booths, intercom system and Calrec consoles are connected via a Dante network and additionally connected via a Calrec Hydra 2 network with a modular rack. The Summa has two Dante cards with one for the Brio, with Hydra 2 allowing shared console resources with up to 512 channels per link.

Nature One EDM Festival – Germany

On its 25th birthday it drew over 65,000 ravers to the former Pydna missile base in Hunsrück. With its impressive steel truss structure, the Century Circus tent is an especially popular venue there. In the “Home of Techno” over 10,000 festival goers partied to the beats of Richie Hawtin, DJ Rush, Sven Väth and Felix Kröcher. The gigantic light show included Cameo’s Spot and Beam Moving Heads AZOR B1 and OPUS SP5.

TV2 Nord opts for Cameo F2 D – Norway

TV2 is the most watched television station in Denmark. TV2/Nord is one of eight regional services providing news and other specially produced formats. Since mid-April, TV2/Nord’s studio 1 has been equipped with Cameo F2 D Fresnel spotlights with daylight LEDs. They were locally installed by the Danish audio-visual service provider Profox.

Sonoma Raceway – UnitedStates

Sonoma, CA - Sonoma Raceway motorsports complex has recently undergone a complete refit of its PA system to enhance the experience for visitors to its yearround schedule of events.

Jerry Coté of Pacific Satellite Inc. explained the loudspeaker choice, “To deliver high quality and intelligibility over the incredible roar of the engines and the cheers of an audience several thousand strong takes a very special loudspeaker. Community’s R.5 and R.35 loudspeakers are in a league of their own in just how well they achieve this, but they also have other major advantages. Products Used.

MOL Aréna Sóstó – Hungary

The INTERTON Group was commissioned to design and install the audio system for the new stadium. INTERTON used acoustic modeling to prove its design based on Community R SERIES loudspeakers as the optimum solution

The solution provides effortless voice-power with HF sparkle that must be heard to be appreciated. In addition to flexible control, the main requirements for MOL Aréna Sóstó were the SPL and STI values and the installed system outperforms both of the specified parameters.

Azteca Stadium – Mexico

The most iconic football stadium in the world – and the largest in Mexico – the Estadio Azteca, hosted last 7th November the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Telehit, a Mexican TV network specializing in music and music videos, covering various countries in Latin America and United States

The mammoth show – joined by some of the major Mexican and international music artists, such as Café Tacuba, Jessy y Joy, Fey, and Super Juniors – was broadcasted live. 82 DTS projectors are installed at the Azteca stadium.

Next Radio & TV – France

Next Radio TV, the multi-media French group deployed over 550 LED projectors across 7 TV studios (BFMTV / BFM Business / BFM Paris / I24 News / RMC / RMC Discovery / RMC Sport) all located in the new Altice Campus in Paris.

DTS LED lights were praised by Next Radio TV for their “remarkable optics and excellent CRI”. 130 x PROFILO LED 200 profilers and 91 x SCENA LED 200 theatre projectors were installed on the grilles of the various TV sets.

Eclipse supplies DiGiCo for Wake Up Call festival – Dubai

Eclipse provided a full technical supply to Wake Up Call, bringing artists including Rita Ora, Disclosure and Rufus Du Sol to the shores of the iconic Palm Jumeirah at the W Dubai – The Palm for the three-day luxe music festival. The event, produced by IMG Live for Marriott International, was the second venture that eclipse joined forces with, following Gwen Stefani’s concert at the grand opening of the Renaissance Downtown Hotel.

DiGiCo at Montreux Jazz Festival – Switzerland

For 11 years, top British console manufacturer, DiGiCo, has proudly supported the iconic Montreux Jazz festival. At this year’s event, the company introduced its latest ground-breaking product development, the new SD7 Quantum console, plus the 32-bit ‘Ultimate Statius’ Microphone Pre-Amp and DAC Analogue Output cards.

In 2019, DiGiCo consoles were installed at all of the festival’s major sites, each fitted with the new 32-bit I/O cards, whilst SD7 Quantum consoles were installed at FOH and monitor position at the flagship venue, Stravinsky Auditorium.

As one of the largest television broadcasters in China, Hunan TV has set itself apart with a pioneering attitude and string of ratings hits. Building on its success, the station has launched the first Chinese OB truck capable of producing Dolby ATMOS 5.1.4 – with Genelec audio monitoring at its heart.

“This project represents a milestone for Hunan TV, as well as a significant step forward for Chinese broadcasting. There could be no compromise on the equipment chosen – everything had to be the best.”

Em Sherif is a distinguished fine-dining Oriental restaurant that offers unique, authentic Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant aims to bring back forgotten traditional flavours and provide its guests with an unsurpassed first class dining experience.

The latest Em Sherif restaurant opened in downtown Dubai – overlooking the Burj Khalifa – and acoustics consultancy firm 21dB was tasked with installing a sound system that was able to provide an optimum audio experience for both live and recorded music in the opulent dining space. The company chose Genelec speakers as part of an intricate audio solution befitting of the restaurant’s sensory splendour.

L-ISA Brings New Creative Freedoms- Europe

Mark Knopfler is on the road once again, supporting the release of his new Down the Road Wherever album with an epic show presented in L-ISA Hyperreal Sound technology by L-Acoustics. Having hit venues throughout Europe and headed to North America, Knopfler has once again raised the rock bar with a 10-piece band, and a 7.1 L-ISA configuration provided by SSE Hire, part of the SSE Audio Group.

The idea of moving to L-ISA technology is a direct result of a request made by Mark Knopfler during the last tour..

L-ISA for UAE National Day- Dubai

The stage for the UAE National Day event was 40 metres wide, with 20 metres from its front edge to the front row, whilst the audience area was around 50 metres wide by 50 metres deep.

The system designed by Scott and the L-ISA team comprised a Scene System consisting of seven L-Acoustics line source arrays, spaced five metres apart across the proscenium arch and masked by a projection surface. The centre array was nine K2 cabinets, with three arrays of nine Kara either side.splendour.

QSC Live Sound

Kid Rock’s Honky-Tonk Rock ’n’ Roll Steakhouse – USA

With five floors and four stages, Kid Rock’s Steakhouse is the largest and most advanced entertainment venue on Nashville’s Broadway. Thanks to a comprehensive audio installation from QSC, the sound from multiple live acts on different floors is audiophile-grade. “The entire venue holds about 2,000 guests, with up to 600 in the main room and mezzanine,” says lead sound engineer Josh Hastick. During busy seasons, all four stages are going at once, hosting as many as 16 bands. According to Josh “The QSC system QSC delivers performance in spades.”

QSC Q-SYS Systems

Yokohama Stadium – Japan

When the time came to overhaul the stadium’s AV system, Yokohama Stadium chose the Q-SYS Ecosystem from QSC to handle networked audio and control processing throughout. Q-SYS was chosen because of its open, IT-friendly architecture and its thirdparty integration capabilities.

The audio processing/distribution and software-based control is handled by a redundant pair of Q-SYS Core 510i Integrated processors. Third-party Dante™-enabled audio mixers and amplifiers were also deployed throughout the stadium and integrated with Q-SYS using the Q-SYS modular IO cards.

WDR selects Orban’s OPTIMOD 8700i – Germany

WDR is the biggest public radio and tv broadcaster in Germany and, after the BBC, the second biggest in Europe. It broadcasts its programs via FM, DAB+ and also as streaming channels through the internet and recently upgraded installing twenty Orban audio processors..

Peter van Beusekom of Orban commented “We are delighted that Orban was chosen again for most of the WDR stations like 30 years before, but now for a complete transformation of the distribution network and with major improvements of the audio processing. Our OPTIMODs provide a high homogeneity and ensure that the broadcasts do not create listening fatigue but make the audience listen longer to the programs. They also contribute to increased speech intelligibility.”

Jordan Media City

Leading Jordanian television production facility, Jordan Media City (JMC), has completed a full technical upgrade, bringing its studio spaces up to date with the latest high performance, low-energy lighting systems from Strand, the new system has reduced the lighting energy costs for these busy television studios by as much as 85%.

JMC, a satellite earth station facility, provides production studios and transmission services. Its two studios, each of 600sq.m, are let to client Roya TV, producer of a range of programs including morning shows, talk shows, news, documentaries and light entertainment. Products Used:
